2009 Holiday Extravaganza
Every year around this time, we like to gather all of our club members together to celebrate the holiday season. This has become one of our premier events, and long-time members always look forward to it. That time of year has come again, and Tampa Bay Anime is gearing up for another night of food, gifts, and fun!
Here is all the information you'll need to know! Where is it? This year, we'll be going to bd's Mongolian Grill. It's not far from where you usually hold TBA meetings. If you don't know where it is, here is a handy map. When is it? December 12, 6:00 PM. Try to get there a little early, so we can get everybody together before taking our seats. The restaurant will want most of our party there before we get started, so do your best to be on time. How does the gift exchange work? It's very simple. Each person who wants to participate should bring a wrapped gift, around $15. Everybody who brings a gift will be given a ticket. Later in the evening, we'll choose gifts at random and draw to see who gets them. If you bring a gift, you will leave with a gift. Tampa Bay Anime will also be giving away some special gifts that anybody can win! So, hang on to your ticket! What will we eat? bd's is a place where you pick all the ingredients for your meal and bring them up to a central grill, where they cook it up for you in just a couple of minutes. So, you can make tons of different dishes. They have lots of meats and seafood, veggies, pasta, sauces and spices. Visit their website to get more of an idea of what to expect. What should I wear? There are no clothing restrictions, although we do ask that you look presentable. This isn't a very formal occasion, but stepping up a little from your usual t-shirt and jeans will make it that much more special. Basically, though, just come as you are. What if I have concerns or more questions? Well, that's what this thread is all about. Post whatever questions you have here, and I'll get to them as soon as possible. And, that's it! If you are planning on attending, make sure you post here, so we can get an accurate head count. See you there!
